CA Final: The Master Level
The CA Final is the ultimate stage of the Chartered Accountancy course, designed to test advanced knowledge, professional judgment, and practical skills. Under the New Scheme of Education and Training, the curriculum has been streamlined into six core papers.
Course Structure (New Scheme)
- Course Structure (New Scheme) The CA Final exam is divided into two groups, each consisting of three papers. Each paper is for 100 marks, with a 70:30 split between descriptive and objective (MCQ) questions.
Mandatory Prerequisites
Before appearing for the CA Final exams, candidates must fulfill these critical requirements:- CA Intermediate: Must have cleared both groups of the CA Intermediate level.
- Practical Training (Articleship): Completion of two years of practical training.
- Self-Paced Online Modules: Successful completion of four self-paced online modules with at least 50% marks.
- Advanced ICITSS: Completion of the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills.
Passing Criteria
The passing standard for CA Final is consistent with earlier levels but more rigorous due to the complexity of the subjects.- Subject Minimum: At least 40% marks in each of the six papers.
- Group Aggregate: A minimum 50% aggregate in each group (150 out of 300).
- Total Marks: To clear the entire level, a total of 300 out of 600 marks is required.
