CMA Final: The Pinnacle of Management Accounting
The CMA Final is the terminal stage of the Cost and Management Accountant program. At Shete's Institute, we provide the strategic depth required to master this level, focusing on high-level decision-making and advanced financial management.
Course Structure (Syllabus 2022)
- The final level consists of eight papers divided into two groups. These subjects are designed to prepare you for leadership roles in corporate finance and management.
Elective Options (Paper 20)
Students can choose one area of specialization based on their career goals:- 20A: Strategic Performance Management and Business Valuation.
- 20B: Risk Management in Banking and Insurance.
- 20C: Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Passing Criteria
To qualify as a Cost Accountant, you must meet the following standards:- Subject Minimum: At least 40% marks in each of the eight papers.
- Group Aggregate: A minimum 50% aggregate in each group.
- Exemption Rule: Scoring 60% or more in a specific paper grants an exemption for that subject in future attempts if you fail the group.
Mandatory Practical Training
Before appearing for the Final examination (or before the results are declared, depending on the current ICMAI guidelines), candidates must complete:- Industry Oriented Training Programme (IOTP): A 7-day program focused on professional development.
- Practical Training: A mandatory period of practical experience in a recognized organization to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
